| Mickey Hiter is in his tenth year as President of SANDLOTT (Select Amateur National Development League for Travel Teams) that he founded in the fall of 1999. Mickey is a former standout catcher at Antioch High School here in Nashville, and went on to play at David Lipscomb College. As a coach, his 1998 Twitty City Hallmark team won the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) 17 year old division World Series. In January of 2002, Hiter was voted Mr. Baseball in middle Tennessee by the prestigious Nashville Old Timers Baseball Association. There are seven geographic regions operating in 2008. The Great Lakes Region (Northern Ohio, Ontario CA, Western PA and Western NY, the Mid-America Region (Southern Ohio, Southern Indiana and KY), The Northern Region (MI, Northern IN and Northern IL), The Southern Region (TN, AL, and Georgia), The Super East Region (CT, MA, NJ, NY), The Caribbean Region and the Canadian Region. The new Mid-West Region (West IN, Southern IL, Eastern MO) is planned for 2009. |
