Greater Nashville Amateur Baseball Association
The Greater Nashville Amateur Baseball Association (GNABA) was founded in 1981 by Jack Lavender. 2008 will mark Jack's 28th year as President of the GNABA. Jack was a three-sport standout at Montgomery Bell Academy in the late 1940's. His 1972 Nashville Merchants team finished runner-up in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, New Mexico. Jack would later be the head baseball coach for the Aquinas Junior College Cavaliers. Now Jack is dedicated to the development of amateur baseball in the greater Nashville area through the GNABA. The association seeks out serious-minded, competitive and highly-organized teams for membership. Most of the teams come from a 70-mile radius of Nashville, Tennessee. Notable exceptions are teams from Huntsville, Alabama.The GNABA is a multi-sanctioned league. On an individual team basis, teams can register with American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC), National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF), the Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA), the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and the Baseball Player's Association. ...More

Mickey Hiter is in his ninth year as President of SANDLOTT (Select Amateur National Development League for Travel Teams) that he founded in the fall of 1999. Mickey is a former standout catcher at Antioch High School here in Nashville, and went on to play at David Lipscomb College. As a coach, his 1998 Twitty City Hallmark team won the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) 17 year old division World Series. ...More
SANDLOTT Wood Bat League
The SANDLOTT Wood Bat League is a member of the Stan Musial Division of the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) headquartered in Farmington, New Mexico. The Musial Division is an unlimited age division, but will overwhelmingly be players 19 years of age and over. SANDLOTT Baseball formed its first wooden bat league in the summer of 2001.Coaches with professional experience are being secured from various colleges. ...More
