Welcome to Sandlotter.com the home of SANDLOTT Baseball. In 1989 Farrell Owens started an amateur baseball newspaper called, The Sandlotter, that covered the Greater Nashville Amateur Baseball Association. As technology improved Farrell went online in 1997. In 2000 Farrell ceased the newspaper and went exclusively to the Internet. Today Farrell continues to cover the local league but it is now known as the SANDLOTT Mid-State League and he also added SANDLOTT Baseball's Super Leagues and World Championships. Farrell's Bio

Mickey Hiter is the founder and operator of SANDLOTT Baseball and was a college teammate of Farrell's. Mickey is the Commissioner for the 13-18 Age Groups. The SANDLOTT Mid-State League offers Nashville Area Travel Teams a competitive, highly-organized and economical opportunity to play Spring and Summer baseball. Over 100 top teams in age groups 9-18 annually compete for the title of SANDLOTT Mid-State Champion. Each year SANDLOTT Mid-State teams use their season long experience to advance and compete in National Competition. ...more

SANDLOTT World Series are widely known as some of the top National Events in amateur baseball. The High School and 18u events are some of the most highly scouted events played each year. All events use top quality College and High School fields as well as as the Historic and Nationally recognized field at Shelby Park.
